A BILL to amend article two, chapter eighteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated section five-d, relating to hepatitis B vaccinations for students sixteen to eighteen years of age, inclusive, who are enrolled in health occupations school programs and all students insured through the public employees insurance agency.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That article two, chapter eighteen of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section five- d, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2. STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION.

§18-2-5d. Hepatitis B vaccination requirement.

The state board of education shall fund hepatitis B vaccinations for all students sixteen to eighteen years of age,inclusive, who are enrolled in health occupations school programs and the state board of education shall also pay for the hepatitis B vaccinations for all persons who have insurance coverage through the public employees insurance agency and who are employed by county boards of education.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the state board of education to fund hepatitis B vaccinations for students sixteen to eighteen years of age, inclusive, who are enrolled in health occupations school programs and all persons who have insurance coverage through PEIA and are employed by county board of education.
